Implementation

Various specialist units and teams of staff at Credit Suisse are responsible for ensuring that environmental and social issues are included in the decision-making process.

Credit Suisse has an internal Sustainability Committee comprising senior executives from different areas of the business. This Committee defines the sustainability strategy of Credit Suisse, oversees the implementation of the Group’s commitments and assesses current social and environmental issues with regard to the company. The Sustainability Committee informs the Board of Directors about the status of the implementation process once a year.

The Sustainability Affairs specialist unit supports the Sustainability Committee and prepares the necessary material upon which it bases its decisions. Specialist units and teams of staff with a direct involvement – such as Product Management, Risk Management and the Operational Ecology specialist unit – ensure that the sustainability strategy is duly implemented. In addition, project-related working groups play an active role where required.
