Dialog with Society
Credit Suisse maintains a dialog with a large number of stakeholders - including clients, employees, investors, analysts, regulators, politicians and national and international bodies, as well as non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
The financial markets play an important role within the national economy. The functioning and efficiency of these markets and - ultimately - the increase in the prosperity of society are determined to a large extent by legal parameters. In its discussions with politicians and regulators and through its involvement in associations, Credit Suisse participates in the formation of political opinion and presents the viewpoint of a globally active company in social and political discussions. In addition, Credit Suisse repeatedly produces studies about economic and socio-political issues and thus contributes to public debate. Discussions with NGOs enable Credit Suisse to present its viewpoint - but also to critically examine its own perspective.
This exchange of views and ideas with political and social representatives helps to promote mutual understanding and the acknowledgement of different perspectives, as well as ensuring that new trends are identified at an early stage.
A large number of Credit Suisse employees in Switzerland also exercise a political function in addition to their work at the bank. Credit Suisse allows these members of staff to use part of their working hours for this purpose.
