Credit Suisse Young Artist Award

Every two years, the Credit Suisse Young Artist Award is presented to outstanding young soloists in recognition of their extraordinary achievements. The prize is awarded jointly by the Lucerne Festival, the Vienna Philharmonic, the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde (Friends of Music Society) in Vienna and the Credit Suisse Jubilee Foundation. In addition to a monetary prize of CHF 75,000, the winner of the Young Artist Award is given the opportunity to perform in concert with the Vienna Philharmonic at the "Lucerne Festival, Sommer". The aim of this award is to help extremely gifted young soloists with suitable educational backgrounds and related achievements to launch a major international career by providing them with the means and opportunities to make the decisive breakthrough.

Prix Credit Suisse Jeunes Solistes

The Prix Credit Suisse Jeunes Solistes aims to make a key contribution to the development of highly talented young musicians in Switzerland. It is awarded every other year, in alternation with the Credit Suisse Young Artist Award. The Lucerne Festival, the Conference of Swiss Institutions for Higher Education in Music and the Credit Suisse Jubilee Foundation are jointly responsible for awarding this prize. The winning musician is awarded a monetary prize of CHF 25,000 and is given the opportunity to perform a recital in the "debut.lucerne" series at the "Lucerne Festival, Sommer".
