SMEs in Switzerland
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) form the backbone of the Swiss economy. Credit Suisse considers it important to support Swiss SMEs by operating a reliable and consistent lending policy and by offering them advice on topics such as succession planning. The bank has business relationships with around 100,000 Swiss firms, meaning that almost every third SME is a client of Credit Suisse.
The high-tech company Acutronic (photo) won the first Zurich enterprise award. The prize is donated by the Swiss Venture Club, whose partners include Credit Suisse.
Alongside general banking services, we provide SMEs with alternative forms of financing that allow our clients to obtain products to meet their individual needs. In addition, we make available our international know-how. All of this, combined with our other services offered throughout the bank, means that we are able to give competent advice to Swiss companies. We are on hand to support clients planning to invest or launch business activities in growth markets such as China. Clients can count on our extensive, global network and our many years of experience – for example, more than 50 years in China – in various markets.
Our aim is to be able to use our products and expertise to assist companies and entrepreneurs, particularly in times of economic difficulty, and to be a reliable partner in the long term.
