The Retail Group provides comprehensive strategic and financial advice to retail, apparel and restaurant companies.

The group offers a broad array of products and services including: mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, leveraged finance, derivatives and structured products, real estate financings, senior lending capabilities and private equity.

Our primary business objective is to provide a full-service banking relationship to each of our clients in the retail sector. The Retail Group is regarded as a premier investment banking franchise in the sector, and has executed a steady flow of strategic and financing transactions, including many of the industry's landmark deals over the past several years.

Formed in the mid-1980s, the Retail Group has a reputation for consistency and unbiased advice and execution. The franchise covers the following areas, among others: department stores, discount stores, category killers, specialty retail, apparel and footwear, textiles, supermarkets/drugstores, convenience stores, healthy living, restaurants and foodservice distribution. Our clients are comprised of leading participants in each of these niches, including: Best Buy, Buffets, Cabela's, Claire's, David's Bridal, Levi Strauss, Life Time Fitness, Linens 'n Things, Macy's, Maidenform, Michaels Stores, Neiman Marcus, Party City/Amscan, Petco, PVH, Quizno's, Sbarro, Reebok, Sports Authority, Staples, Supervalu, Tommy Hilfiger, Town Sports, Toys "R" Us, United Natural Foods and Wal-Mart.

Financial sponsor activity in the Retail sector has also been significant and the Group maintains deep relationships with many of the leading private equity firms who are active in the industry.
