Integrated capital advisory and investor sourcing through the hedge fund lifecycle 

Capital Services is a 30-strong global team dedicated to helping our hedge fund clients to raise capital from institutional investors, such as funds of hedge funds, family offices, pension funds, insurance companies, endowments/foundations and private banks. We work with both the most established hedge funds in the industry and the most recent start-ups, and our interaction ranges from advice on marketing materials and fund terms, to syndicating new launches, to helping the most mature funds to diversify and strengthen their investor base.

Credit Suisse is the only bank that combines into one group the three principal ways that hedge funds can use investment banks to access investors:

Capital Introductions

  • Our role is to provide introductory services (including investor referrals, roadshow support and investor events) to our Prime Services clients.
  • Capital Introductions is a valuable resource for in-house marketing teams to source additional investors who have relevant interest in their strategy at any time.

Placement Agent 

  • We can also act as a fee-based "placement agent" for funds who want our assistance to close with investors rather than just receive Capital Introductions leads.
  • This is a highly focused platform of typically more established hedge funds, with a maximum of 8-12 non-overlapping mandates at any time.

Capital Solutions

  • We partner with Fund Linked Products to provide both managers and investors with "solutions" to investment needs or obstacles.
  • A typical request is to achieve a risk/reward target or tax/regulatory impact, e.g. using delta-one wrappers or capital protected notes.
