This means the data will regularly be transmitted unchecked across international borders, even if the sender and recipient are located in Switzerland. While the individual data packets will be encrypted, the names of the sender and recipient will not. It will therefore be possible for a third party to determine the (subsequent) existence of a banking relationship.
