Americas Philanthropy
Through the Credit Suisse Americas Foundation support is provided to local communities through charitable and volunteer activities and is focused on ways that leverage contributions to have the greatest possible impact on the community.
Overview
Credit Suisse and our employees have a long-standing commitment to responsibility in society. We work with our partner organizations for the good of the community and look for ways to improve the standard of living of people around the world. The Credit Suisse Americas Foundation seeks to address societal challenges in the communities where our employees live and work. Primarily, we direct financial support to organizations where employees are involved as volunteers, increasing the depth of our impact. We also support schools and educational causes that offer effective opportunities for disadvantaged young people.
Americas Philanthropy supports local communities through ongoing charitable and volunteer activities and it leverages Credit Suisse contributions in order to have the greatest possible impact on the community. Support is strongly linked to employee participation and volunteerism, and Credit Suisse has developed a variety of ways to distribute contributions that reflect this focus. Our employees make a difference in the lives of thousands of people by serving as board members, refurbishing buildings and reading to children among many other activities. Employee volunteerism benefits not only the community but also Credit Suisse. Volunteerism builds skills, enhances leadership, and promotes teamwork, and is an increasingly important component of the Credit Suisse tradition.
