Learn all about the economic, social and political situation in other countries. The Country Reports published by the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs provide comprehensive information for Swiss SMEs.
OECD
Here you will find publications containing analyses and forecasts about macroeconomic developments in OECD countries. Also, the OECD examines changes in society and developments in various areas such as trade, the environment, agriculture, technology, and taxation.
WORLD BANK "at a Glance" - Tables
Two-page overview in PDF format with key indicators of the socio-economic trends over the past 30 years. Figures on poverty, government spending, trade balances, national debt, etc. Figures are also presented in comparison with other countries in the same region.
IMF
On the following pages, you will find analyses of topics such as the impact of economic policy in the IMF member states on the global financial system, and studies into the attainment of macroeconomic stability and fiscal transparency.
CIA World Factbook
The CIA World Factbook contains maps and other geographical information as well as information on economic and political topics.
US GOVERNMENT Country Commercial Guides
The country commercial guides, produced by US embassies in conjunction with other government institutions, provide information geared to the (export) requirements of US companies. The guides contain indicators and analyses at the macroeconomic and sector level with up-to-date estimates and projections. This publication is a useful business guide; it is very detailed and contains important addresses.
