Capital Payment Accounts

The first step toward setting up a stock corporation or a limited liability company is to open a capital payment account.

This account is available for incorporations, ordinary capital increases and authorized capital increases by stock corporations, limited liability companies and limited partnerships with their registered offices in Switzerland. We shall issue you with a capital payment confirmation so that the incorporation or capital increase can become effective.

You can download the application to open a Capital payment account here. Please hand the completed form in at a Credit Suisse branch in your region, or send it to Credit Suisse AG, SGCS, P.O. Box 5364, 3001 Berne.

For the person who signs the application, we also require an officially certified copy of an identity document or a certified signature, which should be attached to the application. Alternatively, you can have your identity verified by presenting a valid identity document (identity card, passport or driver's license) at the counter of any Credit Suisse branch.

Payment of Capital 

We shall credit the capital that is paid in to a bank account held in the name of the stock corporation or limited liability company. The transfer will be made at the earliest on the first working day after publication of the company's incorporation or capital increase in the Swiss Commercial Gazette (Schweizerisches Handelsamtsblatt (SHAB)),

After presentation of an original or certified copy of the entry in the commercial register

Or

After receipt of confirmation of an original or certified copy of the entry in the commercial register by the Federal Commercial Registry Office.
