How secure is Direct Net?

Satisfy yourself as to the high standard of security offered by Direct Net.

How can I set a limited user profile?

You can further increase security by using a restricted user profile (without administrator rights) as regards surfing the internet and accessing online banking. You can also open a limited profile under "Start" ⇒ "Control Panel" ⇒ "User Accounts" → "Create a new account" → "Limited" → "Create account" (Windows XP).

Is there a user manual for Direct Net?

Direct Net is being continuously optimized in accordance with the latest developments in software design. If you have any questions, use the help function in Direct Net.

What is a security alert?

There is no fee for using Direct Net. The only charges you have to pay are the internet subscription and the connection charges to your internet provider. Please note: Please note: Account and safekeeping account charges are not included.

What conditions must be met in order to use Direct Net?

  • Account at the bank
  • Direct Net contract with the bank
  • Personal computer
  • Fast modem or ADSL connection
  • Access to internet provider
  • Internet browser (e.g. IE, Mozilla or Safari)

Can orders also be issued via e-mail?

No, it is not possible to submit orders by e-mail. However, you can contact us at any time using the contact form or call us directly via the hotline on 0844 800 888 (private clients) or 0800 88 11 88 (corporate clients).

What security settings in Microsoft Internet Explorer are recommended?

You should set the security settings to "medium". We advise you not to select "modified" because in this case various combinations are not compatible with the operation of Direct Net.

How can I change the language?

After you have registered for Direct Net via the internet, click on "My Profile" menu at the top right and on "Language" in the navigation left. Please note that the language will be stored locally on your computer in the form of a cookie. This means that after the cookie is deleted the language is reset to the default setting. We recommend that you save the login page as a bookmark/favorite after you have selected the desired language.

What do I do if my identification element does not work?

Please contact the hotline or your relationship manager so that we can send you a new identification element.

What do I do if my Direct Net contract is blocked?

For security reasons, the Direct Net agreement is blocked if the password is entered incorrectly three times. The agreement can be unblocked by a member of staff contactable via the Direct Net hotline.

What do I do if I have forgotten my agreement number and/or password?
