Some mortgage loans have notice periods while others have a fixed maturity. You can find this information in your loan agreement. Replacing Individual Tranches
Many homeowners today have split their mortgages into different tranches. With Credit Suisse, you can also replace an individual tranche of an existing mortgage held with another lender as long as the entire mortgage debt is transferred over time.
The Individual Replacement Steps
As soon as you receive our binding lending commitment, you can cancel the existing mortgage with your financial institution. We will be pleased to support you if necessary. After the loan agreement with Credit Suisse has been signed, we will send a promise of payment to your financial institution at the date agreed with you. In return, your financial institution will confirm the delivery of your mortgage notes. This promise of payment is valid for a maximum of 12 months. We will pay out the new mortgage loan in favor of your existing one at the appropriate time.
