Credit Suisse SICAV One (Lux) Global Convertibles

The main advantage offered by convertible bonds is their asymmetric risk/reward profile. Convertibles provide much higher prospective returns than traditional bonds, with markedly lower volatility than equities.

Credit Suisse SICAV One (Lux) Global Convertibles provides an actively managed global investment vehicle in convertibles. The fund also applies Credit Suisse's efficient multi-asset class approach, which looks at convertible bonds in terms of the performance of the underlying share price, the issuer’s credit rating and volatility in its decision-making.

The fund makes broadly diversified investments in convertibles from private and public-sector issuers. Traditional bonds, equities, and structured products can be held in addition to the convertibles.

Benefits

  • Convertible bonds historically have a very good risk/reward profile.
  • In an uncertain market environment, the “bond floor” provides a degree of protection against price losses.
  • Convertibles are currently trading on attractive valuations.
  • Recently there has been a surge in convertible bond issuance.
  • The fund offers a proven investment process with strict risk management and an experienced portfolio management.
