Overview
You pride yourself on having a fresh perspective. You like to find uncommon solutions to tough problems. That’s the kind of thinking we look for in the Investment Banking division at Credit Suisse.
Corporations, governments and institutional investors turn to investment banks for financial advisory services and securities instruments.
When you join our Investment Banking division, you will have the opportunity to work alongside people who structure and execute the big, innovative deals that are transforming today’s corporate landscape. Services that we offer include debt and equity underwriting, sales and trading, alternative capital, mergers and acquisitions, investment research, correspondent and prime brokerage.
Across the spectrum of investment banking, capital markets and financial services, Credit Suisse ranks in the top tier in virtually all major business segments. Our expertise has been behind many of the most complex, and some of the most challenging, mergers and acquisitions. We find new ways to raise capital, and we bring fresh thinking to financial restructuring.
Equities
Our Equities department handles research, sales, trading, brokerage and the market-making of equities and equity-related securities. Our activities cover both exchange-traded and over-the-counter- traded securities, such as American Depositary Receipts, restricted stocks, equity repurchases, block trade executions, program trading executions, equity derivatives and convertible securities.
Equities teams are made up of research analysts, salespeople, sales traders and traders working closely with one other to bring complex
financial transactions to the market. Equities staff members work as a team, and so collaboration and information sharing is crucial.
Fixed Income
Are you ready for a challenge? Strong quantitative and analytical skills and the ability to assess and interpret risk are necessary traits in our Fixed Income Group. You’ll stretch the limits and put your technological and product-based expertise to the test in areas ranging from staging plain vanilla financings to delivering advice on liability management, structured finance and hedging and derivatives. Split-second thinking is essential to navigating a challenging fixed income environment.
There's only so much time available for assessing each risk, and still less time to make a decision that may be based on limited information. Those who flourish here are highly analytical, with a flair for quick assimilation and interpretation of facts. And as no one
person can put together a deal alone, teamwork and strong communication skills are a must. If you excel in an environment that's extremely fast paced and that calls for immediate solutions, our Fixed Income Group may be the right fit for you.
