Ospraie Special Opportunities (“OSO”) pursues less liquid investment opportunities in the global commodities and basic industries space. OSO is managed by Ospraie Management, LLC, a leading commodities and basic industries investment management firm. Credit Suisse and its affiliates were the largest investors in OSO. Ospraie Special Opportunities leverages the team’s outstanding “domain” expertise and deep network of relationships in its targeted segments to capitalize on the significant flow of illiquid investment opportunities and strategic public equity opportunities that are typically outside the scope of traditional private equity funds and generally require specific expertise to successfully complete. Ospraie focuses on unique private and, to a lesser extent, public investment opportunities in basic industries and commodities.
