Susan C. Schnabel
Susan C.Schnabel is a Managing Director of Credit Suisse's Asset Management business, based in Los Angeles. She is a Senior Partner in DLJ Merchant Banking Partners and a member of the DLJMB Partners Management Committee. She is responsible for originating new investments and monitoring existing investments and serves on its Investment Committee.
Ms. Schnabel joined Credit Suisse First Boston in November 2000 through the merger with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ), where she was a Managing Director. Prior to the merger, Ms. Schnabel spent three years at DLJ Merchant Banking Partners, and was responsible for directing DLJ's principal investing activities in the Los Angeles office. Prior to that, Ms. Schnabel served as Chief Financial Officer of PETsMART. Previously, Ms. Schnabel worked at DLJ starting in 1990 and has held various positions in their investment banking operations, specializing in public and private high yield debt and equity financings and mergers and acquisitions advisory for a variety of industries including retail, telecommunications, technology and consumer products. Prior to that, Ms. Schnabel worked at Drexel Burnham Lambert, Beverly Hills, in 1988 as an Associate.
Ms. Schnabel holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.
Ms. Schnabel serves as a Director of DeCrane Aircraft Holdings, Frontier Drilling, Laramie Energy, Luxury Optical Holdings, Pinnacle Gas (NASDAQ: PINN) , Rockwood Holdings (NYSE: ROC), Specialized Technology Resources, Inc., Target Media Partners and Total Safety USA, Inc.
