Shaun Kingsbury
Mr. Kingsbury is an investment Partner of Hudson and is responsible for managing the European office of Hudson located in London. Formerly, Mr. Kingsbury was a founding Partner of Pulsar Energy Capital, a boutique investment firm based in London that provides capital for transactions in the energy sector. While at Pulsar, Mr. Kingsbury led several transactions in the wind and wind turbine component sectors. Prior to founding Pulsar Energy Capital, Mr. Kingsbury advised 3i on a number of renewable energy transaction opportunities in Europe including the €170 million acquisition of Gamesa Energy Services (“GES”) from Gamesa in Spain. Following the successful completion of the GES acquisition, Mr. Kingsbury joined the Board of GES and has helped the company grow to be the leading international provider of construction, operations and maintenance services to the renewable power business. GES is now active in over 17 countries and has installed almost 10% of the global onshore wind capacity. Prior to his time advising 3i, Mr. Kingsbury was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Centrica Plc’s retail power business in Texas where he was responsible for managing a business which grew profitably during his tenure from revenues of $100 million to over $1.5 billion. Mr. Kingsbury has also led a number of renewable energy investments and been active in wind development over the last eight years. Mr. Kingsbury spent the first 10 years of his career with Shell International developing and managing businesses within the gas and power sector in Africa, S.E. Asia, the U.S. and London where he was responsible for the development of Shell’s global gas and power strategy. Mr. Kingsbury is a British and Irish citizen and holds a B.A. in Business from the University of Ulster.
