Scott C. Marden
Mr. Marden joined DLJ Merchant Banking Partners (“DLJMB”) in 2006 as Chairman of Global Media Partners and plays a key role in both the origination and oversight of media related investments. Mr. Marden was previously President of the Information & Media Segment and a member of the management committee of the McGraw-Hill Companies. As a senior executive, in addition to McGraw-Hill, he has served as President & COO of Marvel Entertainment and CEO of Philips Media, a $1.5 billion unit of Philips Electronics. In media finance he served as Senior Managing Director and head of media investment banking at Bear Stearns, Schroder & Co., and Bankers Trust. In 1998, Mr. Marden was a founding partner of Compass Partners International LLC, a $930 million private equity fund. He received a B.A. from Fordham University in 1975 and received an A.M. and conducted Ph.D. coursework in economics and social science at the University of Chicago. Mr. Marden is active in numerous media industry associations and is a director of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Inc. and a Trustee of the Museum of the Moving Image.
