Michael W. Arpey

Michael W. Arpey is a Managing Director and Co-Head of the Customized Fund Investment Group.  Previously, Mike was responsible for oversight of Prudential’s global private equity activities.  Mike also had primary responsibility for managing Prudential’s fund investment group.  Previously, Mike was Director of Alternative Investments for the New York State Common Retirement Fund, where he managed a $7 billion private equity portfolio.  Prior to that, Mike was a trustee for the Pennsylvania Public School Employee Retirement System and the State Employee Retirement System.  He earned his B.A. from St. Lawrence University and his J.D. from the Dickinson School of Law.
