Mehrdad Noorani
Mehrdad Noorani is a founding partner of Global Infrastructure Management, LLC and a member of the Investment Committee of the Manager and is based in London. Prior to the formation of the Manager he was Managing Director and Head of Airport Finance at GE Commercial Aviation Services (“GECAS”). He joined GE in 2003 and was responsible for leading the development of business platforms through which GECAS can invest in different segments of transportation infrastructure, including the creation of the Fund.
Prior to joining GE, Mr. Noorani was a Managing Director of Credit Suisse and a senior member of the firm’s Transportation and Logistics Group in London, which he joined in 1991 (this Group was part of the BZW business, which was acquired by Credit Suisse in 1998). In this role, he worked on a wide range of privatizations, M&A, financing and advisory assignments within the airports, airlines and logistics sectors and across markets in Europe, Asia, Australasia, Latin America and Africa. Mr. Noorani worked closely with Mr. McGhee at Credit Suisse for over 10 years. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Mr. Noorani spent 7 years with Barclays Bank in New York where he focused on the US airline industry and commercial aircraft manufacturers.
Mr. Noorani holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Colorado and an M.B.A. from the New York University Stern School of Business.
