Joseph Slamm
Mr. Slamm is an investment Partner of Hudson. Formerly, Mr. Slamm was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs & Co. (“Goldman”) where he was co-founder of the U.S. alternative energy investment business within the Special Situations Group. Mr. Slamm led investments in wind energy, photovoltaic solar and biofuels, and was actively involved in investment analysis of solar thermal, geothermal and clean coal technologies. Mr. Slamm led Goldman’s investment in Horizon Wind Energy, acting as its CEO during the company’s initial build-up phase. Mr. Slamm played a leading role in the Three Winds Holdings and Condon Wind investments as well as in the initial investment in SunE Solar Fund. Prior to Goldman, Mr. Slamm had extensive experience in credit and structured finance, authoring multiple structured finance credit approaches for Moody’s Investors Service (“Moody’s”) as a Senior Credit Officer (1995-1997). Prior to Moody’s, Mr. Slamm worked in the structured finance groups of Arthur Andersen (1992-1995) and Deloitte & Touche (1985-1989). Mr. Slamm also has had early entrepreneurial experience as a member of a real estate start-up owned by LBO firm Dyson-Kissner-Moran (1989-1992). Mr. Slamm holds a B.S. from the University of Delaware.
