Joe Blum
Joe Blum is a partner of Global Infrastructure Management, LLC and will act as General Counsel to the fund, based in London. Prior to joining Global Infrastructure Partners, Mr. Blum was a partner in the London office of Latham & Watkins and was co-head of the office’s Project Development and Finance Group. Mr. Blum has extensive experience in representing sponsors, financial institutions and governments in all aspects of cross-border project development and financings, as well as joint ventures and privatizations. Mr. Blum specialized in structuring complex project finance transactions involving multiple groups and types of credit providers, including commercial banks, multi-lateral and bi-lateral agencies, export credit agencies, Islamic institutions and debt offerings in the capital markets.
Prior to joining Latham Watkins in 1986, Mr. Blum was employed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, D.C. as a Special Assistant to the Director. Mr. Blum is listed in The Legal 500, Chambers & Partners, Legal Experts (UK) and Who’s Who of Project Finance Lawyers as one of the leading attorneys in the project finance area.
Mr. Blum holds a J.D. (cum laude) from the University of Michigan Law School and a B.A. (magna cum laude) from Wesleyan University, Connecticut.
