Ed Robertiello, CFA
Ed Robertiello is a Managing Director of Credit Suisse’s Asset Management business, based in New York. Mr. Robertiello is the Head of Private and Institutional Hedge Fund Mandates for Americas within Alpha Strategies of Fund and Alternative Solutions. In this role, he is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining all aspect of the fund of hedge fund business for the Americas region.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Robertiello was Global Head of Multi-Manager Portfolios heading a team of 65 investment professionals including research, portfolio management and risk management.
Mr. Robertiello has a 20 year professional track record. His investment experience in traditional and non-traditional fund strategies covers portfolio management, asset allocation, manager research and selection, funds due diligence and operations.
Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Mr. Robertiello held the position of Senior Managing Director of Investments and Research at Asset Alliance Corp., launching hedge fund products and overseeing multi-manager funds of hedge funds. Previously, as a Managing Director in the Blackstone Groups USD 12 billion fund of hedge fund affiliate Blackstone Alternative Asset Management, he created and led the Manager Identification and Selection team. Prior to joining Blackstone, Mr. Robertiello advised, and held various positions with, RJR Nabisco Inc., including Vice President - Pensions & Benefit Investments, where he was responsible for the investment of the company’s $6 billion in retirement assets which included an allocation to hedge funds as early as 1994.
Mr. Robertiello began his professional career at Becton Dickinson Co.
Mr. Robertiello is a Chartered Financial Analyst since 1994. He earned his B.A. in Accounting at Montclair State University in 1976 and his M.B.A. at Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1985.
