Daniel Tochtermann
Daniel Tochtermann is a Managing Director of Credit Suisse’s Asset Management business based in Zurich. Mr. Tochtermann is Global Head of Real Estate Acquisition and Sales. He joined Credit Suisse’s Asset Management business in September 2004 and, in an initial phase, was responsible for the build-up of the first international real estate fund – Credit Suisse Real Estate Fund International – according to Swiss law. Since 1 January 2008, he has held the position of Head of Global Head of Real Estate Acquisition and Sales at Credit Suisse Real Estate Asset Management, comprising more than 20 employees.
Mr. Tochtermann began his career in real estate management in 1992 when he joined Wüest & Partner AG. In 1995, he became Partner and a Member of the Executive Board responsible for Finance as well as for Portfolio Management and Transaction Services. During this time, Mr. Tochtermann focused on real estate consulting, with key focus on components strategy and portfolio management as well as transactions for national and international institutional clients. Being an accredited valuator of the Swiss Federal Banking Commission, he was also responsible for the valuation of real estate portfolios of well-known real estate funds, investment foundations, real estate investment companies, pension funds and insurance companies.
Mr. Tochtermann has been published in various financial and trade publications such as NZZ and BCC-Managers, including articles on Valuation of Real Estate, in Schalcher Hans-Rudolf, Immobilienmanagement, 2003 Bilanz-Verlag and Immo-Monitoring 1993–2000, issued by Wüest & Partner AG.
Mr. Tochtermann earned a Masters Degree in Philosophy from the University of Zurich. He holds a Master of Finance from the Zuercher Hochschule Winterthur and a postgraduate degree in Real Estate Economics from the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel (Germany).
