Alastair J. Cairns
Managing Director
Alastair Cairns is a Managing Director of Credit Suisse based in New York. He is Head of Strategy and Product Development for the Asset Management division. He is a member of the Americas CEO and Asset Management Management Committees. Mr. Cairns served as a member on the Managing Director Evaluation Committee (MDEC) during 2008.
Mr. Cairns joined Credit Suisse in December 2007 from Silver Point Capital, where he was Head of Strategy responsible for identifying and capturing new business opportunities. Prior to Silver Point, Mr. Cairns spent ten years at McKinsey & Company in Toronto and New York, where he was a partner in their Banking & Securities practice.
Mr. Cairns received a B.A. in Economics and a B.Sc.H in Physics from Queen's University and an M.A. in Economics from the University of Chicago.
